Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
